Territory Mapper

Territory Mapper is a mapping program designed specifically for territory design and realignment. The basic Territory Mapper program has all of the functionality of the higher priced Territory Mapper Premium Bundle but contains a more basic set of 8 map layers. It is ideally suited to applications that do not require mapping or territory design using the 5-Digit ZIP Code map layer which in included in the Premium Bundle.

What Can it Do?

Territory Mapper creates maps of territories. Most people use Territory Mapper to map out or edit existing territories or to create new territories. When we say the word "territory" we mean any custom grouping of map units. A map unit can be any known geographic area from a ZIP Code to a County to a State or any of the other map layer we support. You can also create territories from individual locations such as customers or prospects as long as you have these locations available to load into the software.

Both Territory Mapper packages that we offer contain a full feature set. They differ only in the number of map layers included. The Territory Mapper package contains a Basic Map Set of 8 layers which is ideal if you design your territories with one of the included map layers. The Territory Mapper Premium Bundle effectively bundles the basic Territory Mapper software with the 5-Digit ZIP Code Add-On and the Extended Map Set Add-On boosting the total number of map layers to 21.

Territory Mapper supports the import and export of territory definitions allowing users to integrate their work with a CRM, compensation system, lead generation, referral or other corporate functions. It can also generate maps that can be used on web sites in the form of image maps or for database queries, lead assignment, referral and other lookup functions.

How does it compare?

Unlike other off-the shelf mapping packages, Territory Mapper is designed to manipulate and map geographic areas that relate to specific business functions such as sales territories, franchise areas, distribution zones, or any other type of area. Other comparably priced, off-the-shelf products attempt to address these needs but fall short in both ease-of-use and functionality. There are higher-end (more expensive) products that address the application of territory design but in a round about way often requiring a lengthy learning curve and forcing the user to write programs or custom macros to perform simple tasks. In addition, Territory Mapper includes a very comprehensive and up-to-date map set that should serve the needs of most businesses.

If you use 5-Digit ZIP Codes to design your territories you should note that our ZIP Codes are complete, containing nearly 42,000 ZIP Codes for the US, and current. We update them every 3 months so you can be certain that when you buy our software, the ZIP Code data is very current. With Territory Mapper you also have the option of updating your ZIP Code data at any time for an additional charge. Other products only update their ZIP Code data when they offer an upgraded software version.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes, of course you can. We offer Add-On map sets allowing you to add additional detail in the US at any time. You can also extend the coverage of Territory Mapper to include all of North America with our Canada & Mexico Add-On.
